Our Story
At REMAX Professionals, we have established an atmosphere of excellence, productivity and service. We value being proactive and responsive to the needs of our community and as such, REMAX Professionals is recognized as one of the finest real estate companies on Vancouver Island.
Our Heritage
In 1981, during the worst Real Estate market in Nanaimo's history, five of the top producing REALTORS® in Nanaimo had a dream. They followed that dream and founded a brokerage known as Bowen Realty. That company flourished, to the surprise of its competitors, and in 1985 Bowen Realty merged with Woodgrove Realty to form Bowen Realty Woodgrove Ltd. This merge in turn led to the offices of REMAX of Nanaimo, now REMAX Professionals.
The newly formed REMAX of Nanaimo quickly carved a commanding position for itself in the Nanaimo Real Estate market. The company grew consistently, and in 1992 construction began on its present Metral Centre location. The architectural style of the striking building was recognized by the City of Nanaimo with its first prize for design in 1992.
Company Milestones
REMAX of Nanaimo becomes REMAX Professionals, marking a new era of innovation and growth.
#1 contributing office for CMN in BC and #2 contributing office for CMN in Western Canada.
REMAX Brokerage of the Year Western Canada, Brokerage of the Year for REMAX Canada, and exceeded $500,000 in total CMN contributions.
A REMAX University training center was established in the office complex. Also awarded Real Estate Brokerage of the Year by Business Examiner.
#1 contributing office for CMN in BC and #1 contributing office for CMN in Western Canada. Office renovation completed for modern facilities.
#2 contributing office for CMN in Western Canada, establishing our commitment to community giving.
REMAX of Nanaimo was purchased by current owner Charlie Parker, beginning a new chapter of growth and innovation.
Construction completed on present Metral Centre location. The striking building won first prize for design from the City of Nanaimo.
Bowen Realty merged with Woodgrove Realty to form Bowen Realty Woodgrove Ltd., leading to the formation of REMAX of Nanaimo.
Five top producing REALTORS® founded Bowen Realty during the worst real estate market in Nanaimo's history, proving that vision and determination triumph over adversity.
